KEO and Associates, Inc. was called upon to carry out Design-Build services on a series of fast-track projects for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. Work at the Detroit Water Board Historic Payment Center included extensive renovations of 500 sf to the main customer lobby of the building located at 735 Randolph Street in Downtown Detroit. Work carried out included the installation of new customer counters and cubicles, floor finish replacement, historic ceiling mural restoration, new hard ceiling, lighting, wood paneling, marble restoration, seating area furniture, window treatment, ADA ramp and brass railings, new doors and electrical wiring along with 10,000sf upgrade at the 3rd floor of the building.

The DWSD needed KEO to carry out this project in a very limited time so that they could re-open the lobby to the public the day after Christmas Day. Keo successfully delivered and achieved owner’s desire.
